Spiramycin: is a bacteriostatic antibiotics belonged to macrolide antibiotics which act by inhibiting the biosynthesis of bacterial proteins by binding to the 50s ribosomal subunit. Spiramycin: Is Active Against Gram + Ve Bacteria Such As Staphylococcus, Streptococcus,Clostridium,Diplococcus Pneumonia, Rhusophatiae Erysipelotrix. Some Gram – Ve Bacteria Such As Brucella, Neisseria, Haemophilus and Mycoplasma. Colistin has gram negative spectrum, with bactericidal action on susceptible microorganism like: Escherichia coli, Salmonella, Shigella and Pseudomonas. Colistin produce its action by interact with the phospholipids within the cell membrane and penetrate it, causing permeability changes within the cell, which result in cell death. Colistin is not absorbed to any extent from the GIT when administered orally.

Route of administration:orally via drinking water. Poultry: For active ingredient: Spiramycin 100,000 IU + Colistin 75,000 IU / 1 kg of body weight. For 3-5 days. For whole product: 1.5 gm Colistspireroyal / 10 kg of body weight. For 3-5 days. For whole product: 500 gm Madurapharma / ton of finished feed.

Don’t administered to birds whose eggs used for human consumption

Not to be used with animal hypersensitive to Spiramycin.

No side effects when used with the recommended doses.

Meat: 10 days. Egg: don’t use.
