Lincol 44

Properties:
Lincomycin is a lincosamide antibiotic similar to clindamycin . It produces its antibacterial effect by
binding reversibly to 50s ribosomal subunit of the organism resulting in inhibition of microbial protein synthesis.
Lincomycin is active against Gram + ve bacteria such as staphylococci, streptococci, β-haemolytic streptococci, corynebacteria, Erysipelothrix spp. & Gram – ve bacteria such as Klebsiella spp., Pasteurella spp., and Salmonella spp. as well as Mycoplasma spp.
Composition:
Each 1 gm contains:
Lincomycin hydrochloride …………………………………………… 500 mg
(Eq. to lincomycin base 440.88 mg )
Target species:
Broiler chicken.
Indications:
It is used for treatment of:
CHICKENS (Chicken, broilers excluding layers and breeders)
Dosage & Route of administration:
Route of administration: orally via drinking water.
For active ingredient:
20 mg lincomycin base / kg b. wt.
For whole product:
1 gm lincol 44 / 2 liter of drinking water for 3-5 days.
Warning& Precaution:
Not to be used with macrolide antibiotics.
Contra – Indication:
- Not to be used in animal hypersensitive to lincomycin.
- Not to be used in animal with liver dysfunction.
- Do not use in horses, rabbits & ruminating animals.
Side Effects:
No side effects at recommended dose.
Withdrawal time:
Broiler: Meat: zero days.
Egg: not applicable.
Storage:
In dry place at temperature not exceed 30 ºC.
