NEOMYCIN 50%
Properties:
NEOMYCIN 50 % is used in the Treatment of Enteritis and Diarrhea caused by Susceptible Bacteria . As G– ve bacteria such as E – colli , Klebsiella , Haemophilus , Pseudomonus , Proteus , Salmonella and Shigella .
NEOMYCIN 50 % is Bactericidal Amino glycosides Antibiotic. It produces its effect by binding to 30s Ribosomal subunit thus inhibiting bacterial protein synthesis.
Composition:
Each 1 gm contains:
Neomycin Sulphate ………………………………………………. 739.38 mg
(Eq. to Neomycin base 500 mg)

Chickens & Turkeys.
Indications:
It is used in the treatment of Enteritis and Diarrhea caused by susceptible bacteria as Gr – ve bacteria such as E – coli, Klebsiella, Haemophilus, Pseudomonas, Proteus, Salmonella and Shigella.
Dosage & Route of administration:
For Active ingredient 11 mg Neomycin base / kg b. wt. in drinking water daily for 3 -5 days
For Whole product 20 – 25 gm of the product / 1000 kg b. wt. ( 1 gm / 5 liter ) in drinking water daily for 3-5 days
Warning& Precaution:
Not to be used in chickens producing eggs for human consumption.
Contra – Indication:
*Don’t administer in adult ruminant
*NEOMYCIN 50 % is inhibited by Sodium laurylsulphate , Cephalothin sodium , Novobiocin , Heparin , Asprin , Vit. B complex, Vit. C, Silica & Penicillin.
Side Effects:
Non in recommended dose but in large prolonged doses may produce
*Skin hypersensitivity
* Slight Laxative followed oral administration.
Withdrawal time:
Chickens & Turkeys 5 days.

*In dry place at Temperature not exceed 30 C°
*Keep in carton pack protected from light.
