Pharmaflor

Properties:
Pharmaflor is antibacterial solution containing florfenicol, Florfenicol is a broad-spectrum synthetic antibiotic in the phenicol group that is active against most Gram-positive and
Gram-negative bacteria.
Florfenicol acts by inhibition of protein synthesis at the 50s ribosomal subunit .
Florfenicol is more potent than either chloramphenicol or thiamphenicol against many organisms in vitro.
Composition:
Each one ml contains:
Florfenicol ……………………………………………………………………………100 mg.
Target species:
Chicken (except laying chicken producing eggs for human consumption).
Indications:
For treatment of coli septicemia in chicken caused by Escherichia coli.
Dosage & Route of administration:
Route of administration: orally via drinking water.
For active ingredient:
20 mg /kg of body weight per day added to 1/4 to 1/2 of the quantity of water consumed per day for 5 days.
For whole product:
1 ml Pharmaflor per 5 kg of body weight per day added to 1/4 to 1/2 of the quantity of water consumed per day for 5 days.
Warning& Precaution:
- This drug should used for the treatment of diseases for which it has been established to be effective.
- This drug should be prescribed for the minimum period required for efficacy and should be prescribed continuously for no longer than one week.
Contra – Indication:
- Not to be used with animal hypersensitive to Florfenicol.
- Not used in chicken producing egg for human consumption.
Side Effects:
No side effects when used with the recommended doses.
Withdrawal time:
Chicken: 7 days.
Storage:
Stored at temperature not exceed 30 C˚.
