Royalcolipharm: is an oral solution containing Colistin sulphate, which belonged to polypeptide antibiotics.

Colistin has gram negative spectrum, with bactericidal action on susceptible microorganism like:

Escherichia coli, Salmonella, Shigella and Pseudomonas.

Colistin produce its action by interact with the phospholipids within the cell membrane and penetrate it, causing permeability changes within the cell, which result in cell death.

Colistin is not absorbed to any extent from the GIT when administered orally.

Each one ml contains:…………………………………………………… 240 mg Colistin sulphate.

(Eq. to Colistin base 192 mg = 5760000 IU)

Chickens.

Chickens: for the treatment of intestinal infection caused by Escherichia coli, salmonella spp. and other intestinal infections caused by Gram negative colistin sensitive bacteria.

Route of administration: orally via drinking water

For active ingredient:

Chicken:

3 mg colistinsulphate /kg B.wtwice per day. For 5-7 days.

For whole product:

Chicken:

0.0125 ml Royalcolipharm/ kg B.wtwice per day. For 5-7 days.

0.5 ml Royalcolipharm / 40 kg B.wtwice per day. For 5-7 days.

0.156 ML Royalcolipharm / 1 liters of drinking water for 5-7 days.

1. The medicated water should be used as a sole source of drinking
2. The medicated water should be consumed within 12 hours.

• If after 3 days of treatment, no significant improvement of the illness have occurred, a

revision of the diagnosis should be performed and if necessary, a change of treatment.

• Colistin is incompatible with Ampicillin, Cephalosporins,Erythromycin and Kanamycin.

No side effects when used with the recommended doses.

Chicken:

          Meat: 2 days.

          Eggs: 0 days.
