Spira 150

Properties:

Spiramycin is belonged to macrolide antibiotics,  Spiramycin acts on the bacterial protein synthesis by binding reversibly to the 50S subunit of the ribosome,  the spectrum of activity of spiramycin is extended to Gram-positive organisms (streptococcus, staphylococcus), Mycoplasma (mycoplasma spp) and a few gram-negative (Mannheimia haemolytica, Pasteurella multocida)with tissue tropism for the lung higher than the blood.

Composition:

Each 100 gm contains:

Spiramycin-adipic acid mixture……………………………………………………………… (150.000.000  IU spiramycin).

Target species:

Hens.

Indications:

Treatment of infection caused by mycoplasma spp. sensitive to spiramycin in hens.

Dosage & Route of administration:

Route of administration: orally via drinking water.

For active ingredient:

150.000 IU of SPIRAMYCIN for each one kg of body weight, daily, for 3-5 days.

For whole product:

0.8gmspira150 / liter of drinking water. Daily, for 3-5 days.

Warning& Precaution:
  1. The medicated water should be used as a sole source of drinking.
  2. The medicated water should be consumed within 24 hours.
Contra – Indication:
  • Not to be used with animal hypersensitive to spiramycin.
  • Don’t use in laying hens whose eggs are produced for human consumption.
Side Effects:

No side effects when used with the recommended doses.

Withdrawal time:

Meat and offal’s:  15 days.

Eggs: don’t administer to hens producing eggs for human consumption.

Storage:

Stored at temperature not exceed 30 C˚.
