Quinoviridine

Properties:

Quinoviridine is water soluble powder contains potentiated mixture of Sulphaquinoxaline, Diaviridine and vitamin k3.

Sulphaquinoxaline belonged to the enteric sulfonamides, which are not absorbed (or minimally absorbed) from the gastrointestinal tract after oral administration and act locally within the lumen of the gastrointestinal tract on the asexual stages of coccidia by interfering with the production of folic acid.

Diaviridine is a folic acid antagonist which act by making inhibition to the dihydrofolate reductase enzyme.

Sulfonamides are often used in combination with dihydrofolate reductase inhibitors because of the observed synergistic effects due to activity at two places in folate biosynthesis.

Vitamin k added to treat the hemorrhage associated with coccidial infection in poultry.
