Royalneo 21

Properties:

Neomycin: is an aminoglycoside bactericidal antibiotic that its antimicrobial action results from the fixation of the 30 subunit of ribosomes. Also disturbs the bacterial membrane permeability. Neomycin: active against gram (-)negative and gram (+)positive bacteria, such as Escherichia coli, Staphylococcus aureus, Klebsiella pneumoniae, Streptococcus faecalis, Haemophilus influenzae, Mycobacterium tuberculosis , Proteus vulgaris ,Bacillus anthracis, Salmonella spp. And Shigella spp.

Composition:

Each 1gm contains: Neomycin Sulphate ………………………………………………300 mg (Equivalent to Neomycin base 210 mg)

Indications:

Royalneo21%: used for treatment of diarrhea associated with salmonellosis that caused by Salmonella spp.

Royalneo21%: reduce mortalities associated with Colibacillosis caused by Escherichia coli and the diarrhea caused by any of the susceptible organisms that mentioned above.

Dosage & Route of administration:

Route of administration: :Orally. For whole product: 0.05gm Royalneo21% / kg body weight for 3-5 days. 0.5gm Royalneo21% / liter of drinking water for 3-5 days.

Warning& Precaution:

• Administer in a good quantity of water to consume the dose completely.

• Do not administer with neuromuscular blockers, general anesthetics, anti diuretics or other aminoglycosides. 

Contra – Indication:

• Do not administer to dehydrated animals with renal failure or with respiratory depression.

• Do not administer to birds with a history of hypersensitivity to the antibiotic.

Side Effects:

• The prolonged use can cause malabsorption syndrome & intestinal dysbacteriosis.

• At high dose and prolonged use can cause nephrotoxic and ototoxic effect.

• Neomycin is particularly toxic to the auditory and renal system.

• Aminoglycosides may impair neuromuscular transmission if used peri-operatively in association with anesthesia.

Broiler Chickens: 5 days

Stored at temperature not exceeding 30ْ c, in dry place, away from light, and to be used immediately after opening and Reconstituting
