Presentation:

Tiamulin is a semi synthetic diterpene class antibiotic derived from pleuromutilin . It produces it’s bacteriostatic effect by binding reversibly to the 50S ribosome subunit of the organism resulting in inhibition of microbial protein synthesis . It has good activity against many G + ve bacteria including Staphylococcus spp. & Streptococcus spp. & it also has good activity against Mycoplasma spp. & Spirochaetes.

Composition:

Each 100 gm contains: Tiamulin hydrogen Fumarate ………………………………………………………………………………. 55.55 gm (Equiv. to 45 gm of Tiamulin base)

(Poultry) Chickens and Turkeys

Indications:

Chickens and Turkeys: For prevention and treatment of diseases of the respiratory diseases caused by Mycoplasma and complicated by secondary bacterial infections (chronic respiratory disease, infectious synovitis, infectious sinusitis

Dosage & Route of administration:

Route of administration: orally via drinking water For Mycoplasma: 20 mg of Tiamulin / kg b.w. once daily in drinking Water for 4 days. 1gm/2.25 litres, for 4 days.

Warning& Precaution:

Provide clean drinking water & hose down the area or move affected animal to clean pens.

Contra – Indication:

• Not to be used with animal hypersensitive to Tiamulin.

• Not to be used with animal hypersensitive to Tiamulin.

• Do not administer products containing ionophores such as monensin, narasin & salinomycin during or for at least 7 days before or after treatment with the product. 

Side Effects:

Non in the recommended dose.

Withdrawal time:

Poultry 6 days.

Stored at temperature not exceed 30 C˚.
